Hi
here is a very popular After Effects tutorial site.
http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html
Some of the effects are good for intro/outro
Good luck

I looked at that site a couple of times when I began to use AE.
However, I gave up after having either a problem understanding the English on important steps, or finding a minor had been left out meaning I couldn't get it to work right.
Oh well.

Hey i'm still new at creating logos' and movies and just recently bought Adobe AE. I'm trying to do the example 3 on http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html. In your post you said you can help, and any help will do. The first step asks to create a logo with Motion's Graphic. But i don't see this option anywhere. If its not much, do you think you can write a step to step guide on how to achieve this intro for a newly introduced person?

For Step 1:
You only need a text. It can be a photshop file, illustrator, jpeg or whatever. Or you create in After Effects . With the timeline selected choose Layer -> New -> Text.
I advise you, don't continue that tutorial. You need a PlugIn called "Final Effects Complete". It's not for free.
Generally, if you're new with AE try www.creativecow.net or www.videocopilot.net before you start ayatos.
If you still want Ayato tutorial Nr 3 I'll upload my project file.

Here is Example 3,
The final animation is in the composition "Step 6 (Final)". You can color it in Step 4 and Step 5. I colored it red/yellow, some warm colors.

Thanks so much. I'm trying to work on the other example http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae51_e.html. Its the one with the water splash effect. I went to the point where it says in step 2 for the particles to form and roam freely. What i have a issue on is step 2 where it asks to put the layer as the previous layer 'AE51-1_Text'. My AE didn't have this layer as an option. I created a text layer but it still didn't show... DO you know why?

Sorry for the late reply.
I let Step 4 and 5 out. Because I haven't the artbeat watertexture clip.

Wow thanks! Sorry for the questions, but can you do a step by step to replace the Ayato @ Web with my desirable logo? Thanks for the help!

While the effects are nice, the tutorials always seem to either have a problem with bad translation to English, or an important step is left out.
Every tutorial seems to have something go wrong despite following it to the letter.

Hey there :) Nice guides!
I was trying to make the http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae21_e.html#, however I have Adobe After Effects 6.5, but not pro - is there some way to make the fractal noise or something looking similar in the non-pro version?

No you can't. With Version 6.5 you have 'Fractal Noise' but not 'Displacement Map'.
You need Displacement Map.
