When i start wow my fps are 60-70 even in the most populated places in towns. After 2-3 mins my fps drop to 5-15 and wont improve.I have changed my Graphics card to a better one and still no improvement to my fps.I formatted my pc 10 times and still no change.I tried different drivers, the latest, the ones i have in the cd came with my Graphics card, and STILL no improvement.I am desperate.Below i write my PC specification. If you got any ideas i would like to see.

Thank you in advance

---PC spec---

-Intel P4 Prescott 3Ghz
-Gigabyte 8IPE1000G (dual channel)
-1024 RAM (2x512)
-WD 120GB 7200rpm
-GeForce 6600GT (128MB) <----- i tried a really better G card and still no improvement
-ADSL 8Mbit conn
-Win xp (no sp2)

P.S: My video details in game are lowered to the minimum. My monitor is set to have up to 100fps in 1024x768 and i play wow in same resolution.
P.S.2: Wow has same performance even if i start it while listening to music, burning a dvd, have 10 windows open,or open just wow itself.Same things in every case when i start 60-70 fps and after 3 mins 5-15.

I have no idea what it can be since you seem to have tried it all, write to blizzard support.

You will want to take it to the WoW forums where there are about 1 million others having the same issue. I have tried to get an answer from them too. They refuse to give anyone a straight answer. It was all because of this last patch and Blizzard is denying it even after a 100 page thread of complaints.

I have noticed a very significant difference in FPS if you turn off "Show Player Names" in the interface menu.
