<div><div>As you may have noticed its been quiet from us for quite a while but it has not been without a good reason. Its finally time reveal what we have been working on and to make the next leap forward in WarcraftMovies.com´s evolution!</div><div> </div><div>Without further ado here are the major new features and changes of this release.<br /> <strong><br /> » NEW HQ STREAMING ON ALL MOVIES</strong></div><div><div>Probably the biggest upgrade we offer with this new version is the HQ-Stream - All NEW movies will get a FREE HQ-Stream! Gone are the times when we were depending on the user to provide the stream. To access our extensive archive of older movies we will still offer the Premium membership but henceforth all new movies will come with a free stream!<br /> <br /> For those of you who might say "xyz.com offers a higher quality" I will remind you that WarcraftMovies.com is under constant development and this stream is just the first step. Soon we will offer real HD streams in even higher quality. Authors may also still link other streaming sources and we will of course embed them into the site as well.<br /><br /><strong>» NEW SITE FRAMEWORK<br /></strong>The old site was build upon an old home made html framework from late 2004. Needless to say it was in need of an upgrade. Our goal is to keep the majority of the new site 100% W3C compatible. </div><div> </div><div>Some of you with older computer hardware should notice a significant increase in speed while browsing the site. We have also made use of a world wide Content Delivery Network to help us provide an even faster site for everyone.<br /><strong><br /></strong></div></div><div><strong>» FASTER, SLICKER DESIGN</strong></div><div>Obvious changes has been made to the design, our goals was to make the site easier to use for the untrained eye: </div><div><br />- The Movieview page has been improved to put the actual movie and author into the focal point again. <br /><br /></div><div>- To the right of "In Todays Spotlight" we have put a box called "Popular Machinima", giving our die-hard Storyteller Authors a much needed front position on the site! Users are now just one click away from watching a High-Quality Machinima! We are currently generating a lot of older high quality machinima to be showcased in this spot. </div> <div><br /></div><div>- We have moved class and the category box to a more eye catching position and tied them together to a much-needed <a href="http://movies.php/" target="_blank">Movie Browser</a>! Hopefully the new browser will help all of you to discover what is new-old, good-bad and forever glorified in our WCM database. There are a lot of gems yet to be discovered! </div> <div><br /></div><div>- The "Viewed Right Now"-feature is just what it says; things being viewed LIVE right now, this box will be modified in later upgrades to show a per user movie recommendation list based upon his/hers viewing patterns.</div> <div><br /></div><div>- We have of course kept many of the old popular features from the old site such as - Hot lists, Achievements and Latest blog entries. However, some of other features did not quite make it in this initial release but rest assured that they will return soon. </div> <div><br /></div><div><strong>» NEW RATING SYSTEM</strong></div><div>We have narrowed down 4 different rating categories into 1. We are now focusing more on what category a movie is in. Our hopes are that the category-rating given, connected to a constructive comments, will keep it more straight User<->Author than the old more, from a standard user point of view, abstract and complicated system.<br /> <br /> With this being said we are looking into ways of adding a bit more depth to our more advanced users.<br /> </div> <div><br /></div><div><strong>» NEW SEARCH ENGINE</strong></div><div>"Easier sorting", "stronger engine" and "quicker response" are self-explanatory phrases that apply to our new <a href="http://search.php/?keyword=a+shaman" target="_blank">Search</a>!</div> <div><br /></div><div><strong>+MANY OTHER NEW FEATURES</strong><br /></div><div><a href="http://arenas.php/" target="_blank">ARENAS</a> - Just click 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5 and fill in the team setup you want to take a closer look at!</div><div> <br /></div><div> <a href="http://dungeon.php/" target="_blank">DUNGEONS</a> - Find the latest boss-kill movie or strategy to down them all!</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://movies.php/" target="_blank">Author Search</a> - Far down to the right on our browse page is the list with our active and Popular Authors, from there you can also search for your own favorite author!</div> <div><br /></div><div><a href="http://pv.php/?l=MartinFalch" target="_blank">Merged Author- and Profile-viewer</a> - In from the blistering cold comes the profile-viewer, now hooked to the Author-page in a happily ever after!<br /><br />Displayname != username - It is now possible to modify your nickname on the site. No need to create another account if you want to change.<br /> </div><div><br /></div>So many features did not make it with the first release but we got them stacked up to keep us busy and you entertained throughout the year!<br /> <br /> <br /> As a final note I would like to remind you all to use our Feedback feature. We are keeping a close eye on it and will start going through all responses tomorrow. I know some of you may not like some of the changes; it is the human nature to be conservative; although we will never go back to the old design we will of course listen to the suggestions you have to create something even better. When the smoke clears I am 100% confident that our love will be stronger than ever! :)<br /><br /><em>PS.
