Okay so... everythings done. Pvp movies, burning crusade movies, love movies hate movies kill death pve nax party .. so on...

EVERYTHINGS BEEN DONE!

ok so im trying to find ideas for a new movie to make. I have a lot sure, but nothing is new. The movie will get 2-3k views, and it will die, end of story. I'm trying to think of somethign new, even if its branched off from somthing old. Whats something anyone wants to see.

So the million dollar question is, WHAT MOVIE do you want made? What movie do you want to be able to watch? What should it have, what kind of music, what kind of footage? is it some epic battle, is it a long 4 hour movie of traveling? is it a quick 3 minute clip to laugh at ganking? WHAT? Give me something, and I'll make it!

My ONLY Limitiations
- I'm a 60 mage on a pvp server.
- I can't do a TBC movie anymore because theres currently a bug in the beta clients preventing logins due to invalid game version. To login, I have to run the client under a different windows user setting in which fraps does not support. So... go figure gg blizz

The movie I'm currently working on will be something new!...I think. Well, at least new in the Warcraftmovies story-line section. I hopes so!

You'll just have to wait!

Yea a friend of mine was going to do that... where they both were in the same battlegrounds and both filming at the same time... like a split screen diddy... would be cool as hell

I've tried that thing. But it's hard to make what both people do understandable. I play a warrior, and everybody know that warrior+paladin=nerfplx what i did was make the paladins interface in the bottom corner of my interface making it possible for people to see what was going on. The movie was 5 mins long 4.30 of which was pvp and it was one big fight in AV where we fought off hordes constantly from our homebase. (Paladin died twice, and i died once ^^, but this was only a cool addition where the player had to run back before the other one died... We managed pretty well ^^) Anyways, nobody could figure out what i the paladin was doing, and people got frustrated because they couldnt see all of my bars...
After i canceled the entire thing, i was actually thinking that i could have used a barmod and placed all my actionbars to the left of the screen, and placed the paladins screen over my chats, which would then be placed to the bottomleft of the interface. Anyways, i would like to see this done and done RIGHT! A good chance to do this would be in the new arena battlegrounds which goes live now this wednesday... Anyways ;) Happy movie making :)

A friend of mine who is a hunter and me might do something like this very soon, a Tag-Team PVP video. We've both played beta and have a few good spots in outlands to try some things so we will get a video up shortly after the expansion release.

btw HAPPY BURNING CRUSADE DAY (tommorow but still :P)

I would want to see something really creative and meaningful, and something that can make the audience think for a while after viewing it. Good examples will be Edge of Remorse or The Graveyard.
On the other hand I also prefer long, epic storyline movies with a great mix of inspiring film music. The best example will ofcourse be Tales of the Past II. :P

How about taking a quest line and making it into a movie. The plot is already there, so it seems like it could be pretty easy to write. This could even be a series, where each episode follows the same hero through a different quest line. Has that been done before?

This thread is a little old, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyways.

You know what I say.... that making movies based on what everyone else wants to see, is in itself 'overdone'. No offense or anything, but the way I see it, it's impossible to please everyone; some people will always find something to whine about in every video. So I say, make a movie of whatever you want to see. Maybe don't always stick to this plan for every video (if you don't like it after the first time), but make at least one video of what you like to watch and define as a 'good/fun machinima video'.

This is how I'm going to make my videos from now on, and it's how I made my latest one, which sadly was not approved (even though I scheduled it for release 2 weeks ago... had lots of rendering errors which I finally resolved, but now it was refused by WCM due to bitrate being too high..sigh) and delayed even further than I thought it would be... so I'm having to wait for an answer from the admins about it.

I personally don't think a video has to have a 'huge epic storyline' or be '5 hours long' to be good, I like all kinds of videos... my preference for moviemaking is PvP videos, since I like to make things with action and special effects, etc. I prefer not putting a story in PvP videos (but I enjoy watching ones with stories, or any type of vid like I said; making them, however, is different for me) and believe that if you spend alot of time and hard work on certain aspects of your video (editing, music, effects, etc) it will be fun to watch even if there is no story.
