Female machinima makers?

Hi!

I am going to write a paper about games as art, and I'm also interested to add a gender perspective to it. Therefor I would like to get in contact with female players who has made machinima, to ask a few questions.

After have done some research on this the following names came up. All these authors have choosen female as gender on the site. Chances are that a couple of these are in fact male authors but it is a good list to start with I guess :) Send them a PM on the site, starting with the higher id's (most recent). The name listed is their username.

i remember in SWG Pani LightStrider did an AWESOME vid. I know she played (or is playing) WoW. I wish she would do a vid in it.

Hm. I've heard about SpaceKitty, but never paid much attention to it.
I'll check it out. All I heard was that she was really good at what she did, although I couldn't hear WHAT she was good at, as 10 people connected to the vent server -.-

Not really. He's just posting information that IS public information. He looked the site and found members who use female avatars, which ANYONE can do. All he did is forward that information to Kitty. But I understand your concern.

Anyway, yes, there are quite a few good female producers out there and I'm sure WarcraftMovies.com is a GREAT place to start or continue your searches.

I would first like to point out that I am indeed a female, :) I was honored to be listed here, :) I'm not sure how great my videos are or if they are worth my "advice" for, but if it's questions, I think I could handle those, lol. I find it so much fun to make and even to just be a part of game videos like the popular Red vs Blue series. All I've been able to make are music videos simply because I don't have to use my own voice (hehe, I doubt my voice is anything spectacular and I'm no actress, lol) and I can solo-film.

On a side note to jackthe7th, why was it so bad to post that list of links? It was helpful to the OPer and how in the world were those links to "private info"? If the info posted in those links is so private, the owners of those profiles wouldn't have put it there in the first place, lol. Besides, it just gave each of those people a couple extra clicks to their hard-work videos, :).

@Candrence: I have exactly the same problem with the voice acting, lol. Hence the music...
