couloring effect in vegas

In some movies I've seen people switch coulor on some part of the movie, and leave a single coulor untouched, I saw a Aq'40 movie when the whole screen was pretty dark and then just a string of a purple Drain Soul(lock soul shard spell)

I'd like to know how to do this :P

Hi nehx,

I just stumbled over a video FX that might provide the answer to your question. Try adding the Color Corrector (Secondary) and then select the present "Desaturate all but reds". Now play around with the different settings until you achieve the desired effect. Now most of the screen is grey. You could then also change the brightness, but I don't know if you can darken all but one color?
