Why do you use WOW?
wowmodelviewer makes it easy. i dont use puppeteers or body actors whatever u call it.

What made you start making machinima?
I thought people were only making pvp videos set to linkin park.

What do you think you get out of making machinima? (Pleasure/profit/fame etc)
Few people make machinima I want to see. BAsically a lot of he movies I make for my own enjoyment. Or to prove to my gf how rad i am.

Do you write a screenplay?
No. I listen to music and WoW scenes will pop in my head. So I make it.

Do you storyboard?
no. i actually make it up as im making it.

What programs do you use?
Fraps. Sony Vegas. Photoshop. Particle Illusion. CrazyTalk

Any difficulties with the programs?
nope.

How long does it normally take for you to make a film?
a week or so. i dunno.

What, in a perfect world, would you like to do with your machinima?
A long time ago the answer wouldve been "use it to meet Cat Schwartz". Not too long ago the answer wouldve been "use it to meet Olivia Munn". But i have a gf now... so... ummm... basically I want to be the John Cusack of machinima. He's never at the top of your list, but you always remember he's your fav when you're watching his movies :P

fun. once it's work, i stop and put on Venture Bros.

i guess music video-ish.

Olibith. Legs. Selserene. Baron. Pinkhair. yada yada... and that dude who makes 3d modeled gnomes that sing like french pop songs.

no.

I would think so. WoW on its own draws from so many pop culture references that those references alone should appeal to non WoWers here and there. or not. /shrug

What made you start making machinima?
A WoW music machinima ("The Hardware Store") made me stumble upon Warcraftmovies.And off I went.

What do you think you get out of making machinima? (Pleasure/profit/fame etc)
personal satisfaction (it's like painting a picture, writing a book, mastering a wing chun form, well, any particular art), entertainment for the audience.

yep

What programs do you use?
aside the games I use:

- fraps
- WoW model viewer
- Half life mods of all kinds
- VirtualDub
- Magix video Deluxe
- Ulead Photo Impact (not sure about the exact name now..)



Any difficulties with the programs?
the usual...basically beginners problems, so by now I am fine.

How long does it normally take for you to make a film?
depends on the lenght of the film...and RL influences.
At least two weeks.
"In Frost We Trust" took me half a year of constant work (at least 20 hours per week)


What, in a perfect world, would you like to do with your machinima?
entertain people.

Do you consider machinima work or fun?
both, it's impossible to seperate those two.

music, guide, comedy (in progress)

all genres you find listed at WcM. Each genre has some shiny diamonds to offer.I personally prefer non PvP/Arena/Battleground movies, but even these genres offer some movies with a touch of machinima.

Dwârv, you made In Frost We Trust? Thats pretty much the only "guide" video Ive ever watched and used. A lot of fun learning the aoe grinding technique. I remember making a mage just to try it out. rad.

No alternative.

Seeing the PvE movie, AFGM: Rite of Passage. It made me start doing PvE vids but eventually I experimented with machinima.

All of them! Though I'd like more profit and groupies.

I've done that mistake a couple of times. But gladly, for my current big plotline project someone else is doing the writing.

Nope, I fail at drawing.

Crashing.

Depends. A crystal-clear idea will need a day. Something will take a year.

An r-rated scifi/action/horror movie without any shitty Hollywood PG-13 limitations. Lots of action, spaceships and all that jazz.

Both.

All of them. I've created a genre of my own, called "people walking movies" which are aimed to piss off the PvP movie watching retards.

Almost anything as long as the limitations of WoW machinima are understood.
