Movie rejected: What's the criteria?

I don't understand how Warcraft Movies works clearly, and there are little to no instructions on the website. I've actually responded to [email protected] with questions but I can only imagine that they are very busy. Understandable.

I submitted my movie the other day and it was rejected, saying that there were errors, but without specifying what errors there were, or what I needed to improve on.

I was asked to resubmit the video in the rejection.

After reviewing my submission, I realized that some of the information I gave regarding movie length and size were incorrect. I corrected these values and resubmitted, and now I am rejected again, and told that my movie is not high enough quality to host?

WCM hosts videos with the entire UI visible and the content being footage of peoples' raids fighting bosses, set to music. And yet an more edited (albeit amateur) storyline video is somehow of lesser quality?

Can anyone at WCM explain this to me? I feel like I am missing something.
I think that Warcraftmovies is a really great idea and it's fantastic that we have a place to share our creative ideas. I very much want to be a part of it, but I clearly I am missing the key, or haven't yet figured out the secret of getting in on it.

Thank you for your time.

PSS: I've been speaking with one of the moderators and I am learning more. I suppose I wish I knew more about the process and how to improve.

Sometimes movies get caught in a spin; errors that makes it unable for movie moderators to watch it and when finaly getting it up there content or size policy prevents it from getting further.

I am sorry about the lack of information regarding the different rejection mails, they will be looked over.

We are currently working on a F.A.Q that will answer most of this questions.

As a tip (didn't say you did this): don't render it at 160x120 resoluton like i've seen...

oh boy. No way. I appreciate the tip though.

I tend to do 640 by 480. I'd like to do bigger, but I haven't quite captured any footage on that kind of largescale yet.

Well, don't record in windowed mode (in wow) and set your WoW resolution to something below 1280x1024 that has the right aspect ratio. If you dotn have a dual core and your resolution is below 1280x1024 full screen mode your footage will come out GREAT!

again. Thanks for the tip. I have a new project I'm working on that is going to be in development for quite some time methinks. I am definitely going to try and up the screensize of my video.
