Blurry. "The-damn-tricky-but-produces-the-best-results-says-Thiras-method"
 

I used all the settings you've posted step by step. Controlling everything twice. And it all looks good. so I render pass1 and pass2.

Open pass2 in Vdm and add the mp3. Save as...

When I watch the movie its blurry as **** I dont know what I've done wrong my resulution is ½my ordinary resulution. (recorded with half size in fraps) 720x450(1440x900Wide screen)

Is there anyway I can improve the quality of the movie. And yeah, it's only 31mb for a 7minute long movie /:

1. Recording on half size with fraps makes it blurry from the start. Watch your original frapsed footage and check if that is blurry. If it is then record on full size. This is recommended if you want cristal clear quality in your endmovie.

2. When you downsize your resolution the picture becomes blurry. Although it's not all to much. When you put the bitrate up you'll still be able to read the chatbox. However if you want to see your movie cristal clear like you're ingame you have to render at the same resolution as your original footage and make sure fraps records on full size and not half size.

I tried to render with 1440x900 resolution. And both the pass1 and 2 video were just black. No idea why. I'll try again and check the settings.

From now on im recording on full size, cause you can hardly see anything as it is now. Too bad I wasted almost 2 weeks on a video I cant watch. Isnt there anyway that I can make the quality higher and and compress it to max 200mb? It's 1.5bg oO now. Dont care what program or codecs etc. Just need a way:)

Making quality better that would be a nice trick :) I'm affraid that can't be done. This happend to me too once. Recorded for weeks on half size for nothing. It's mistakes like this where you learn best from ;)

If you record on fullsize and in vegas you do your resolution /2 and your bitrate up a bit maybe like 4000 or 5000 (depending on how big you want your file to be mostly) then your quality should be pretty good.

Something I've been wondering about is the pixel aspect ratio in vegas. Maybe Thiras can give some advice here. I don't have a widescreen so my pixel aspect ratio is 1.0(square). Now if you play a widescreen do you have to set that to something else or leave it on 1.0(square)? I've never been able to test that out to see what the result is.

Yeah, you should probably use full size. 720x450 isnt very high res (same as a dvd infact). Sorry it didnt work out for you :(
