Fraps is the best, use it and nothing else :)

Sony Vegas is the best professional video editing program available especially for the new creators. Try to get your hands on it, it's very user-friendly and a very powerful program for making videos.

I haven't really tried much but.. can't one do more with the AE/premiere combo than with vegas? Vegas has lameass audio controls and its lacking in effects/3d handling, among other things.

As far as I know (and this could be wrong), Vegas is a relatively easy-to-use video editing tool. Or, it's more user friendly than say After Effects.
When it comes to editing, After Effects' interface can seem intimidating at first, but with advanced settings you can achieve great results. Combining After Effects with Photoshop, Premiere and Soundbooth you got a package that's hard to beat...

Did that just sound like an ad?

Very nice, and good read!

If I can add one thing:
When sorting your movies, do consider where you recorded the fight scene.
Unless your trying to do something spesific (like having all your fights shown by where they were recorded, aka all AB fights together, all WSG fights together, etc), please try and remember not to mash them together.

If your movie is playing, and you jump area to area, and then suddenly 3 fights in Alterac Valley play right after each other, it can many times give a bad impression of "oh, and then we got to all the AV clips" kinda feeling.

The same goes for classes: Unless your trying to divide them into class spesific fights, try not to accidentially show the same class right after each other.

Personally I think you should try and vary both your location, class, and situation as best as possible, from scene to scene, to best avoid the viewer getting bored by watching the same thing over and over (be it the same background, the same class, the same "setup", etc).

Anyway, as I said, nicely written :)

Very impressed

Very impressing

I can see you have been use lot of time making this one. And I really respect people who really want help others with these kind of things.

I still slack with my own video... Im getting always stuck at the editing point. I edit little bit. Then i get somehow like ''bored'' or something. Then I just throw all into row and render. Then when I watch it im not happy and I delete it. Then I start edit again and same old story.

But thats not the point. this helped with some things. Thank you.
