Anyone got a unblurred 1650x1050 recording?

Hey all, I have a problem with fraps and hoped someone could help me try and figure out what the problem is by posting the exact settings you use in fraps and rendering program.
I'd be really grateful as i've been here all night trying to fix this.

Here's the problem, i don't expect anyone will be able to help but i'll take my chances.
When i record on fraps half-size(tried all fps) the raw and rendered file is so blurred you can't read the text.
When i record on full-size it doesn't blur on the raw file or rendered as long as i don't resize it at all but i can't really record and post a movie on 1680x1050, right? besides it doesn't run to well on full-size and the 40+fps i'm forced to use.
I've tried rendering the full and half-sized recording on magix movie editer, windows movie editing, vagas 7.0 and vdub on 100 differant sizes and formats, every setting there is i've tried basically, anything less than 1650x1050 comes out blured!
I use fraps v2.8.0 registered version

1 more things that may or may not be relavent or not.
When i start recording, the fps in game(WoW) is capped to whichever fps i chose on fraps, on 25fps it doesn't go higher than that 25 in game so it's laggy, if i want it to run smooth i have to set it to at least 40fps.
I've tried with "no sync" on and off and full screen/half screen.
Is this the same for everyone? just i read most people use 25 fps option.

Pleeeeeassse help with this, i'm dying to make a movie!

I think you would increase your text size so that it can be read clearly after resized ,or increse target resolution of the movie you'r rendering.

property settings : 840x524 resolution, pixel aspect ratio is square. framerate 30

your render settings should match your properties settings

i render with Divx, sony vegas to edit

project tab in render as:best
video tab: custom frame size of 840x524, frame rate 30, aspect ratio 1, video format DivX
hit configure button: 720HD profile under certification profile, quality > speed

if you want to see how mine is rendered, download this video
http://files.filefront.com/DahukaEle.../fileinfo.html
DONT WATCH STREAM

you wont see what the quality of the video is if you watch the stream

but anyway, yea i use 1680x1050, and im satisfied with the quality of my videos.

Hi and thank you, i tried with your exact settings and it came up with a error,
VirtualDub Error
Video compression error: The source image format is not acceptable. (error code -2)
Any thoughts?

i dont use virtual dub, but if i remember right, virtual dub does the same thing as divx, video compression. make sure you're rendering with divx is my only suggestion,

but can anyone confirm/deny the use of vdub?

I tried with another program and it did still come out blurred, here's a screen shot of the settings and a few second clip of how it comes out.

1680x1050 is fine, I don't see why you would want to downsize it :p

bigflyinazn 10-05-2007 08:28 PM

for me thiras, size purposes, right now i only make movies for my friends and guildies, dont feel my material is up to par with some of those on WCM

so for a quick fix of my shaman's footage, a fast DL with good quality is what im after, and a quick render for me

which is why i downsize =P

because it lags when i record on full-size.

Thiras 10-05-2007 11:09 PM

Do you get 30 fps when you record at 30 fps? Because then its not lag, thats how fraps works.

If it didn't do that, say your game ran at 50 fps and you tried to record at 30. It'd be skippy.
