Enhancing colors in WoW movies (help!)

This is probably a fairly simple question.

I've noticed in many machinimas related to WoW as well as "story" based movies that enhance specific colors (mainly brighten em). I'm curious what video fx is used to alter them.

For instance brightening up the spell effects compared to everything else.

I've been playing around with different effects and can't seem to achieve it. Curious if you veterans can point me in the right direction :)

Thanks in advance!

The glow effect in vegas can target brighter colors and leave darker colors alone. After effects probably has something more fancy.

Hmmm interesting. Thanks for the reply Thiras!

Edit: Been playing around with it, and it seems to only glow certain areas in big blotches even when toned down between suppression and intensity it's not what i'm looking.

Do you have any suggestions? or tips? Much appreciated!

There are some plugins that will do the same thing but they tend to be a little expensive.

If money is not an issue I'd go and get Magic Bullet Suite.

Yea magic bullet can create nice colors but keep in mind that magic bullet presets cost longer render time.
This is a great alternative for people that don't have magic bullet or don't have the money for it ;)
