WCM comments vs. Wowhead comments system.
WCM is full of hate, wowhead is funny/self-correcting

http://www.wowhead.com/blog=127836/w...rated-comments

1. love WCM - it's given me tons of fun over the years, it's well worth the premium for a bit
2. the haters and people downrating due to class/music/spec or whatever happens to be OP atm is just nuts
3. wowhead seems to have hit it right with their commenting system, but they have more space per page of comments viewable, and it's sometimes too easy to maliciously downrate a comment and make it disappear quickly - on WCM it's too hard and there's no incentive to not be an ass.

Thanks parl2001,
We will def take a look at this. A quick fix could be to increase the amount of viewable comments per page. After that we could add a sorting option (a dropdown) to only show certain comments. Ex. "High rated comments", "Unrated comments", "Negative rating", "Author comments" etc.

What do you think?

Hey there,

I believe that what Parl2001 is not trying to say that wowhead system is "better" per se (after all it works exactly the same as WCM's). His point is -I believe- the little space (and features) WCM offers for displaying comments. It's indisputable that scrolling down is 1000 times easier than pressing Next, Next, Next, Next, Next..... specially when the [Next] button changes position when there are long comments hahah.

I believe that making comments more easily accessible (e.g. longer comment lists, sorting options, features you mentioned) and/or playable with is going to increase the community interaction substantially. After all, we are here to watch movies, interact and troll... I mean, comment ;)

Cheers for listening,
X.

:) Have you noticed that you can click "Show All comments" (at the bottom of the list on every page)?
