fraps is recording to the new hd, yes. and it actually did make a difference in terms of lag on which disc it was installed.

pc specs are:p4 cpu with 3ghz, 2gb ram, radeon x800 with 256mb ram, asus...

i recently had to do "format c" on my pc. after reinstalling windows xp and vegas + fraps i'm now noticing much worse video quality (especially fonts look very edgy) after rendering my frapsed takes....
