A friend thought buying a capture card might take some weight off my video card and increase my FPS while recording. Well, I got it installed okay but the software sucks (causes WoW to spaz out when I try to record) so I'd like to continue to use Fraps. Unfortunately, my FPS has not gone up while using Fraps. Is this because Fraps doesn't recognize the capture card? I didn't see any option for this sort of thing in the settings. Or, does a capture card simply not work in the way my friend expected it to? Thanks!
