Many or most seem to use fraps 2.7.2.

Is this because it's a free version that allows you to record for as long as you want, or another reason?

What's wrong with using 2.9.1? Is this a good version?

What are the pros/cons with using 2.9.1 over 2.7.2? Is it worth buying 2.9.1?

Any help would be most appreciated as I'm considering buying Fraps 2.9.1 if it's worth it.
