Xvid is pretty fast, my comp can reach over 20 fps encoding speed when doing 1280x1024 so nawh.
You should try installing huffyuv (
http://neuron2.net/www.math.berkeley...fyuv-2.1.1.zip ), compressing with that in premiere (youll get a pretty big file)
Use:
<-- Convert to YUY2
and Predict Median (best) in the yuy2 box.
Then recomp with xvid/mp3 in virtualdub.
