Need some help with vegas to begin (reward to helpers)
Hello, making my wow movie and quitting the game.
I have recorded many good pvp moments with fraps at 60FPS full size My screen resolution is 1024x768 I would like to know please what template should i use when creating a new project with sony vegas ? And what rendering settings should i use also for it to achieve best quality. Best blue motion method? etc All help is appreciated and rewarded with gold from my server Lightbringer - EU since im quitting the game. Is there any way to get the black bars on the sides not showing on youtube i tried all different ways but my screen which i recorded the videos isnt widescreen its simple square one It shows fullscreen in my player but on youtube it ads the bars. I have read all the guides and stickies on the forum also tried google and youtube for guide videos but not much about the specific resolution and problem. Thank you again Last edited by Conoco : 01-17-2010 at 06:28 PM. |

For templates, I'd suggest making a custom template on what settings you want. If you don't know what you want, just pick any HD template.
I'd suggest following any rendering guides here on this forum or using the x264 codec. To get rid of the black bars, you have to stretch your video to fit 1280x720 or 1920x1080, because youtube's player assumes that you're going to play HD content otherwise it'll add black bars. |

When i stretch it i loose parts from top or bottom or both
From all those HDV and HD which ones should i choose ? If i make a custom template i should add the 1024x768 width and height, what frame rate? pixel format, motion blur type? Thanks for the response. |

you can leave most settings as default except resolution, pixel aspect ratio should be 1... frame rate 25 or 30...

Resolution should be what you use ingame.
FPS should be set at the same amount you record with. Pixel Aspect should be 1. Leave the Motion Blur on default. Put the Interlace method to "nothing", your recording a game, not with a cam recorder. Put Bit-Rate to 4500. ^ This is more of less a quote out of Nolan's Rendering guide. You should check it out if you need more help. He really made it PERFECT http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=106667 |
