NEW MOVIE IDEA.... criticism NEEDED!
Well, i have had this idea for a while.... so here it is.
Genre Drama Special Notice- Because this "series" does not yet have a name, any reference towards any type of title will be represented by (U.). Setting, Prologue, & Characters. (U.) is based inside of the World of Warcraft universe, with some reference, ( well the whole back story is based upon-) to the lore that Blizzard has already put into place. The story will NOT include many of the heroes of the franchise Lore ( there are reasons to this continue reading to find out.) Prologue: It is 5 years in the future within the world of Azeroth. Over these 5 years many events have DRASTICALLY changed the world Politically. The Horde and Alliance have split into three factions. The Horde has been split on brutal terms. The orc's noble leader, Thrall, has been Assassinated by a Group of Elite Alliance Mercenaries hired by Varian Wrynn as a plan to destroy the Horde. The Orcs and Trolls: After learning the fate of their once great leader, the Orcs have gone berserk, almost acting in a worse manner than shown in the day's of the Orc's Bloodcurse. The Troll's have been inspired by the orc's actions. Thrall was, indeed, viewed just as Nobel by the Troll's, who feel they are still in debt to him. The Orc's are being lead by the war hungry Garrosh Hellscream. Garrosh has ordered MASSACRE on all humans, in result causing the RE- corruption of the Orc's But, not all hope is lost, Saurfang has been gradually rallying the Horde in order to bring order and reclaim the old ways of the Orc's. But, Saurfang is growing old, and the orc's need a new hero to lead them. This Bring's in our OWN character , Grok' Toral. Or- put simply simply- Toral. Can Toral and Saurfang Unite the Horde, or will all of there efforts be at a loss. The fate of the Orc's is in their hands. The Tauren and Nightelves: After witnessing the brutal actions of the Orc's, the Tauren have left the horde They are keeping contact with Saurfang's side, ( this "New horde" does not yet have a name to it.) but many of the tauren have joined the Nightelves. The Nightelve's were in GREAT disagreement with the Actions of Varian and left the Alliance to Focus on their leader Malfurion. Malfurion is STILL trapped inside of the Emerald Dream, but is starting to show signs of coming back. They believe that Malfurion can help them with the Problem's that the Scourge is putting on the rest of Azeroth. ( there will be more added to this as it is developed). The Undead and Bloodelves: While these two are not drastically unchanged, Sylvanas is realizing the Horde is failing and is on the verge of leaving the Horde and Searching for "other means of help . ( not much on the elves atm.) The Humans: ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION. The Alliance are losing the war that their leader has started. AS a matter of fact this war was caused by the careless actions of one man. Varian ( who was banished by his people), has gone in to hiding, in fear of being killed by his own. Yet, in these dark times Hero's are beginning to emerge. ( unnamed hero) is a human male who has earned a name in the eyes of his people. The faction that Assassinated Thrall, is public enemy number one for the Humans of Stormwind, while at the same time he is freeing humans from Orc encampment's. (No name) isn't alone in his journey though, he is accompanied by his Brother -( still no name)-.( not going to say any more for the simple reason of it not being fully developed and not having what IS known to me be told to you guys yet .) Dwarves and Gnomes: sorry not much here yet they are still with SW but the gnomes have some ideas of their own. The Scourge: The Scourge grows stronger by the day. ( yet, so does the Forsaken.). ( STILL NEED HUGE EVENT THAT THEY ARE DOING THAT MAKES THEM A MUCH BIGGER THREAT THAN BEFORE.) I apologize for anything that doesn't make sense, I am still working on the story and am stuck in some points. Any criticism is welcome. I would LOVE some name ideas, and if you have any ideas that you would like to see, PLEASE, share with me! Hopefully you are looking forward to this machinima series and hope that the community can be a big part of it. ALSO- This is going to be my FIRST machinima EVER so I am new to the site and do not know much about the state of machinima, I just thought it would be a good thing to share with you guys! ENJOY! -Mogram, Zuluhed server. |

Personally, I wouldn't have the Scourge be the big bad. This explanation got a bit long, so please forgive me.
In the game currently, we're pretty much in the middle of Wrath content. Soon 3.1 will be out and guilds will be able to go in and start kicking Ulduar boss butt. As you probably know, the final boss for this instance is going to be Yogg-Saron who, according to some rumors, is the Old God of Death. (The thought process seems to be that since Yogg-Saron is the reason why all lifeforms got the Curse of Flesh, and since the Lich King is so powerful in Northrend (Yoggie's home ground) the Old God may be responsible for introducing death to Azeroth) Since we're going to be murdering death in this patch, it stands to reason that we may end up weakening the Lich King's forces when we do so. After all, the Scourge's source of Saronite Ore is going to end with the Yoggie's demise. Not to mention the fact that soon we're going to be able to storm Icecrown Citadel and kick Arthas butt. Your movie idea may be topical for the present, but will quickly be outdated. Instead you might want to look ahead. A lot of people think the next expansion is either going to be about the Emerald Dream or the Maelstrom. There's Emerald Dragon skins already in the game which you can use if you want your big bad to be Ysera, or you can keep your baddie unseen if you go for Azshara and instead use a lot of Naga attacking. Or you can always fall back on the Burning Legion. EVERYTHING is the Burning Legion's fault, really. Otherwise, my only suggestion is not to make Toral too uber. Be sure to give him character flaws so that no one can claim that your OC is just another Gary Stu. (And being too awesome is not a character flaw )
