Nah, you're site is better than youtube, but that's about it. 480P is not HD. Stage6 could stream true 1080P without any bandwidth issues. You're site keeps choking on 480P at 1:20AM in the middle of the night. Not bad, but until you can actually provide a 720P stream without the bandwidth choke, its just not good enough. I'm going thru some serious stage6 withdrawal right now. I seriously hope someone steps up to the plate. |

I agree with Dhgroove. I tested one of your vids out and the quality is decent but it looks a bit too shaky FPS wise. Also, you can't really view the films fullscreen because there are other video choices below the main film. I honestly miss that feature of Stage6, play a video and click on Fullscreen and enjoy the full cinematic experience the average joe created in a few minutes/hours.
Stage6 is gone, Veoh can't replace it, let's hope some other company will. P.S. Vimeo looks promising, but the upload limit kills it. (I would use Gamerstube over Youtube and Filefront to stream any day though) Last edited by Projectx : 03-02-2008 at 07:03 PM. |

Yea, Vimeo was looking good, but the U/L thing sucks, plus the 720P with high bit rate seems to "shake" on playback. But their fullscreen interface is nice and slick.
As far as my computer not being able to handle 480P, that seems unlikely, as I was watching 1080P just fine with it on Stage6. Intel C2D 6750 Nvidia 8800 GTS 320MB Creative XFI Elite Pro and M-Audio 410 2 GB PC1066 RAM (2x1GB) 750GB WD SATA HDD x 2 (no RAID) Some ASUS MB (Their site is down atm) Firefox for the browser Also, it wasn't the FPS that was choking, it was the site's bandwidth. I tested my end to make sure I was ok. I have a 10mbit down / 1mbit up connection, and I was pulling 9+mbit with negligible ploss at the time your site was choking. The movies would start fine, as it looked like your site was "bursting" the video to me in order to get ahead. But then the playback would catch up and the playback would stop, as it then appeared to burst some video to me again. And the cycle continued. Definitely wasn't my end. |

Why is the stream from Stage6 still working???
I wanted to delete that link from 'story of revenge' on warcraftmovies.com, but it still appears in good quality... or are they just in delay with shutting their servers down? Does anyone know, when the movies finally disapear? |
