Syncing World of Warcraft Fraps with Vent recording

Hi there fellow movie makers,

This has always been a problem that's eluded me as it's caused production of boss fight kills to be a lot longer than needed...not that I don't enjoy it or anything...but can be a time sink.

I've always recorded my FRAPs of boss kills in 29.97 Framerate/sec and used Adobe Premiere 5 to CS4 and converted Ventrilo to .wav from the Ventrilo program.

Now, when it comes to putting a sequence together with just the FRAP'd video and Ventrilo recording, the Vent recording is always behind. Is this just how it's meant to be or is there a workaround for this?

Ahhh, I'm so silly. There's actually a 'Record external input' option I never noticed...so much trouble gone!
