Stream performance/quality
Foreword; this is kinda more like feedback- but I couldnt find any category for feedback exactly...
I don't know what to say really, I just tried out the software and compared to say... xfire, this is just not adequate. I really don't know where the problem is, but in terms of bandwidth usage and my computers performance versus the quality of the image, xfire just blows this out of the water tenfold for my current situation. And, the settings really need to be more detailed, only being able to choose between 10fps and TWENTY fps is ridiculous, I kinda like the sliders though, but are they there because it's always VBR? wouldnt it save performance a bit to have a CBR "mode" or doesnt it matter compared to using this at 100% bandwidth usage at a set bitrate. It should be noted that I tried all possible different combinations of all of the settings, with no result anywhere near that which would make me use this service over almost any other. To put it in perspective, I would rather use my webcam aimed at my computer and stream it in stickam, than to use this. Either way, I'm just assuming you want feedback on this feature, and I had some spare time to try it out and review, so here you go Last edited by MrWise : 10-18-2009 at 07:56 PM. |
