Rain Effect
Hey people! I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get the rain effect from wow recorded inside modelviewer for instance? I basically need a frog perspective and a normal perspective clip of rain falling, so that it looks sort of like the rain in wow - else there might be some program that can render something slightly similar-looking
If anyone has a way of doing this, I'd be very happy to know! - Martin |

if you have after effects it's pretty simple:
add "cc rain" (on a black solid), play around with the settings (like angle, drop size etc) and maybe add an adjustment layer with cc vector blur or motion blur. choose "screen" as blending option for your rain layer.. vector blur looks pretty cool with the right settings.. a little bit like the sin city rain. when using vegas you maybe could create a large photoshop rain layer with alpha transparancy and make it overlay your footage and animate it or sth like that I don't know vegas

Yeah, After Effects got a easy in the box rain effect that would be suitable for what you're describing
