Artefacts (black squares) after xvid rendering
Hi,
after I render my movie, when I view it certain parts of the movie are messed up by black squares and other strange artefacts. It shows up randomly and sometimes it's just a little and other times its like the whole screen :/ I don't know what it is or how to fix it, any help would be appreciated. Here's a pic http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3...cap0000qr5.jpg ps: I put the same settings as in the stickied guide except I'm frapsin in full size (1152x856 and I render at 1152x856 also). I don't have this problem when I'm rendering half size frapsed scenes 640x480. |

Or anyone out there.. Once again i am looking for the highest possible quality using fraps half size, thanks

well I just did exactly the same as explained here
http://www.mmorpgforum.net/showthread.php?t=16 (xvid method) running the game in 1280x960 to get 640x480 half size scenes, however the quality is way better when I render full size scenes (1152x856) that's why I'd like to get rid of these black squares. |

Could you please run your xvid file through Gspot:
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/index.htm And post a screenshot of it here? You could also try and turn off Global Motion Compensation in the xvid options before rendering. edit: And the screenshot has black borders there, those are pretty bad for your quality. The correct resolution is 1152x864 Last edited by Thiras : 05-21-2007 at 08:21 PM. |
