Question regarding Fraps

When Frapsing, I normally set the FPS to 30, but then my FPS in WoW drops to 30 aswell, is that normal? To be honest I think playing with 30 is a little low.

I've tried to set the FPS in Fraps to 60, then my FPS in WoW goes to 60 aswell, but won't the filesize be pretty heavy then? Does this
have any affect on how big the filesize will be in a video? 1GB size on a movie might be a little heavy.

Sincerely,

Twice the framerate, twice the size.

But just because you record fraps and get a 10gb file doesnt mean the final result can't be 100mb, the recorded fraps files are uncompressed, what you need to do is render them with a codec such as xvid, h264, wmv, et.c. with the appropriate resolution and compression settings to get a good file-size.
