Sony Vegas editing tips please!

I'm sure there is a topic that I've missed - but since I'm about to be gone for a for the rets of the day. I previously tried adobe premiere and I was getting the hang of it when it stopped workig. I was wondering if sony vegas pro 9 had any of the same features?

I'm trying to figure out how to rotate the video screen, and trying to insert cuts like you could put in on Window's movie maker.
