Do you mean ingame lag while you record? (Does your FPS take a large hit?) or is it only lagging when you view the footage you recorded?

I am also getting a lot of lag when trying to record in WoW. If you are successful in frapsing wow could you please post your system specs along with some factors you think contribute to playable frame rates.

I recently switched from 2.6.4 fraps to 2.9.4 fraps, and I have noticed my FPS has gone down as well. But that's only because I'm actually recording full size this time ( Not sure if 2.6.4 didn't support 1680x1050 resolution ). I suggest that if you're going to make videos for people to stream only, ie youtube or just filefront stream, record in half-size.
My sprcs: E6750 @ 3.4ghz 3870 @ 850/1200 7200RPM Sata HD Asus Maximus Formula 22" 1680x1050 Widescreen I believe the above specs are the only specs that matter when frapsing. With these specs, I average 20-40 fps when recording in full-size during boss fights. It does get a little choppy and dips down to 15 sometimes, but I think that's just my HD yelling at me to stop =P |
