Problem while rendering
When I render something in sony vegas smaller than 1280x1024 I get these huge sidebars while playing the movie in winamp for example. Anyone know what's causing this? I'm trying to use the rendering settings from fony's movie guide thingy.
Any help appreciated, thanks. |

Thats cause you're using the wrong resolution then.
If you have 640x480 and you render to 720x480 the black borders are added (720-640/2 = 40 on each side.) |

Well when you render it in a smaller resolution then vegas has to divide your resolution with a number for example 1280/2 and 1024/2. Now when you ask to render in a resolution where fraps has to divide your resolution with an odd number you will get unsharp video and those black borders around them. I think that's how it works in theorie.

Exactly, So you need to render your videos to something like 640x480 oto not get those black bars.
You could also render it to the same resolution but have bigger final file sizes. |
