Sony Vegas - shadows
Hey hey
Having trouble making Life like Moving Shadows, Ive been Trying to add a shadow that moves along with one of my character as it walks, animated shadow. If anyone has any tips for me please comment. I think that he is looking for a way to give wow modelviewer characters shadows with vegas. As far as I know this isn't possible with vegas. Adobe Premiere can do it tough with the effect, drop shadows.

Ok what im after is to capture a shadow from my character as its walking, just like an normal shadow but animated so the shadow moves as my character does. just like real life, if u get me :S i heard it was possible to be done on vegas.

duplicate the character layer, turn down the opacity, make it dark and then put it where you want it.

are you using in game footage or keyed footage ( greenscreen )
if you're using in game footage I recommend you start masking in vegas duplicate the masked footage and start with 3D tracking. or a plugin called "pluginpac" which you can download here http://users.pandora.be/pap/pluginpac.zip Play with your brightness to make it dark ! make sure your "shadow" footage is beneath your source footage Now a cool little effect is blurring it as for the keyed footage almost the same only use chroma keyer Hope this helps |
