Problem with premiere and WMV's
Hi, new to editing and these boards, be gentle.
I have compiled a good bit of warcraft footage using gamecam setting wmv as the format and 1024x768 resolution. Most of my clips are 100 to 400 MBs. When I import the files into premiere and try to watch and trim them using its preview window the video playback is very choppy. I then tried to put it on the timeline and previewing it that way I had the same problem. Also, I lastly tried to just render the timeline hoping that would smoothen the playback but the rendering time was ridiculous even for a short amount of film. Running on a intel dual-core, 2gb ram and nvidia 8800 so it shouldn't be a problem with PC speed. Thanks. Last edited by Aurdin : 09-29-2007 at 08:42 PM. |

Try rendering to xvid or something, wmv is a really slow encoder
BTW Fraps > gamecam. It's not good to use WMV as a storage medium. |
