Your first mmorpg?

For me it was Ultima Online back in 1998 on a crappy 28k modem

I really liked the open endedness in UO, almost no rules or limitations on what you could do.

I still remember going about lumbering in days on end to afford a small hut. One day an uninvited visitor was able to get in becouse I forgot to lock the door. I made the mistake to put my axe in his back, this flagged me as a criminal. That meant I was free game everywhere except in the cities. If I got killed by another player anyone could take my stuff since it was left on the corpse. After a couple of weeks of getting backstabbed constantly I quit the game. aaw, those where the days

Ah...Uzbeki was a outlaw O.o mine was Everquest...after awhile there expansion got boreing to me and quit

Really didnt get to far in that game hated that when you died you lost exp.

I think my first MMO was the original Runescape back in late 2000.

My first game was dark age of camelot, played a shadowblade named gedan (go figure) and spend most of my days out in pvp areas grinding albion infiltrators with me huge axe! viking: Could take as much 1hour to get 10sec action in that game - best game I've ever played!

Mine was Runescape. I was quite famous and good player back then.

One of the first and last plate pures out there! Good times.. Good times..

Hmm.. my first one was runescape.. but then later i switched to World of Warcraft, which i still play now

I also play WoW atm.

I think about 90% - 95% of these forums currently active members play WoW.
