Low video FPS sometimes

Sometimes, depending on the movie, I get really bad FPS while watching it. The audio plays perfectly but the video is very choppy. I'll see 1 screen and then 4 seconds later another screen and so on. It only happens with maybe 1 out of 7-8 movies I download. Could it be the codec the movie maker used or is something wrong with my WMP? Any help/tips/suggestions you have is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to mention it's when I download the video, live stream is always fine. I'll use this video as an example...

Hmm in the credits he says "Some people seem to be experiencing choppy video in some parts. Apparently this is due to the high quality of the video, so try turning the quality down a bit if you dont have a good computer. -thanks denkart." I've never had a problem with my computer performing in the past, I'm not sure why it would be the case now.

I would say its the Codec if a video I'm watching is choppy I switch my codec and it works fine.

It's good if you have alot of codecs use these if you don't have them.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Thats the VLC media Player.

http://www.divx.com/ DivX player.

Along with Windows Media Player and Creative Media player if you have that.

Also make sure you have the latest version of all of them.

May be because the movie had so high quality too, maybe ur computer can't play it. But I'm no real pro at these kind of things.

Haha, one time I had that problem. Although it seemed that I had fraps recording Windows Media Player... That was my problem...

Interesting film, did u release it on WCM? Btw, don't change avatar! I'm used to ur iQuit avatar.

The problem is usually too many programs running in the background or such. Hopefully ur not so dumb (solly) to have fraps recording ur Windows Movie Player. Otherways follow this easy step.

Click Start
Click Turn Off
Click Reboot or Turn Off

Now start it up again, if the problem is still there please contact technical support, lol.

Yes some HD quality movies may stutter on older computers, like 6-8 years old.
