Fraps problems > too low frames O.o even for my rig

Hey I have the problem written in the topic.

Everytime I try to record in WoW in fullscreen my frames drop to ~20-22FPS

I really wonder why, because my bro's notebook can record in 1280 x 800 @30-50FPS >.<

My Rig:
Pentium D945 3,4GHZ@3,6GHz
2GB DDR2 800 G.E.I.L.
X850XT PE
1* WD 250GB SATA2 (but currently SATA1)
1* 40GB Seagate blabla (IDE :S)

I tried to record on the Seagate IDE harddrive but it doesn't help :S

Notebook:
A64 Turion 4000+
3GB DDR2 667
HD 2600 Mobile (downclocked because of heat)
and a Hitachi SATA 250GB with 5200RPN

I don't get it. My rig gets more FPS than the notebook in OG at the same settings but he is able to record in HD720p o.O...

A friend of me is able to record @ HD720p (1280 * 800 i think),too and his rig is also not that good.

his rig:

AMD Opteron @ 2,8GHz
GeForce 6600GT
2GB DDR1 400 Ram
1* 80GB Sata1....

They both use Vista but I'm using Windows XP SP2... could that be the problem?

Think your gfx card is the problem.. try defragging your harddrives and/or reducing resolution ingame (what are you playing in atm?)

I don't think that the prob is my gfx card, because I get more fps than the notebook :S

I'm playing @ 1280*1024,...
My friend does also (the one with the 6600GT) and he's able to record with 30FPS :S T.T

Ehm I've got 2.9.3 :S

EDIT: I put another HDD(also IDE) into my Rig. It has a bigger MB/s but it still drops from ~80 to 22fps @ recording-.-

Best if you put wow on one of the IDE hdds and record to the sata hd.

Did you try defragging like I suggested?
