Some Rendering Questions
Hey Guys
I am quite new to this whole video thing but I have a few questions on video rendering I am using FRAPS to record in game footage - this is bring recorded at 1680 x 1050 50FPS and comes out fine (if a little large ) FRAPS file settings here: So I import this video into Sony Vegas 8 and use this to put together a movie, which is all good. I even managed to slip in some wow model viewer stuff my problems come with rendering What I am trying to achieve is a high quality movie that is not too big as frankly it's better to have a small filesize My Video project in Sony Vegas is the same resolution but lowered to 30FPS as this is my desired final encoding FPS, I potentially want to lower the resolution though (maybe 1280 x 800) as the quality is still good but it saves on filesize a little These are my Sony Vegas project settings: So I can render an OK movie using the WMV9 format, best quality, audio at 128kbps with Video on BEST quality / CBR (or 2 pass CBR) with the bitrate set to 3kbps but if I try to follow this guide here for encoding with xvid: http://www.mmorpgforum.net/showthread.php?t=16 I get some odd results. I installed the Xvid codecs so they are working I fill in all the settings as per the guide above and run my 1st pass This gives me a avi file along with a couple of others (I have to manually save the .pass file though?) I then run with the same settings but select 2nd pass I point it to the .pass file and then save my video file The problem is it comes out really large for it's size and the bitrate of the video is huge! Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I set the desired bitrate for the 2nd pass to 3000 and it came out like this Thanks in advance! Last edited by Necailis : 05-17-2008 at 02:58 PM. |
