Question about submitting
My upload's (Slice'n'Gerb) status currently is "Awaiting download or upload.".
I am not too sure what this means, so was hoping anyone would provide me with some more info. Because I uploaded the movie on the same page where I could submit a pic (which I have done too), in the thing called "machinima uploader" or so. I hope that was the right thing to do, as my movie is not a machinima, but since it was the only uploader of WCM itself... Now on the unreleased page, it gives the aforementioned message. Did my movie actually get uploaded, or do I need to re-upload it again? Ofcourse I provided a mirror as well, to filefront. And now that I'm asking questions anyway (as opposed to making another post...), is there a way to change the 'filesize' info? Because when I uploaded it, it wasn't compressed yet (oops...), but the filefront link is, and is thus slightly lower in filesize. Thanks in advance for any answers EDIT: Just thought of another question; Does it take longer to get approved if I change some of the submitted info, like adding some text the the description of the movie? "Awaiting download or upload" I suppose means that you need to upload it or wait for a mod to download the movie from filefront, however, this will take very much longer. So it seems like it didn't get uploaded as it should've. Would be good if someone could back me up on this though.
I don't believe you can change the filesize info. You can change info, but I'm pretty sure you can't change filesize, why you can't I don't know. I don't believe it take more time for it to get approved if you change info, no.

Also, it currently says "ETA: ~19 days"...
They clearly inform it's a very rough estimate, so I don't trust it ofcourse, but if I were to upload the movie (again, but via the link in the "waiting for approval" tab), would it show less than 48 hours? |

Wouldnt trust the ETA if I were you, back when I was in the business of approving/rejecting movies we practically never had more than 1 days queue time. Of course things might be different now.

Myeah, if you uploaded the uncompressed one to WCM it probably wont work, reuploading is a good idea
I'm not quite official, I used to be a movie mod, stopped with it, nowadays I just farm +1 on these forums! |
