Vegas problem and encoding
I have red the encoding guide and done both of them but my 28min movie is still coming out whit over 900 MBs whit pretty avarage quality, it frustrating, help would be deeply apriciated. I eaven tried DivX.
Now for Vegas. I tried both whit Virtual Dub and Vegas to render but that is not the point. The point is that after i render the movie i can't watch it in Vegas. When i upload it and move it to the board it only shows audio and says that the video party is offline/not streaming. Tried whot different codeces Any help whit that would also be great. |

/gasp, gonna write frustrated customer lettersto Sony ,well its a releafe in a way, i thout it was my fault, you know the 10000000+ options of video encoding. Any sugestions how to render so that vegas can read em, besides doing it in widows movies?
As to the other part, the video encoding. You mention that write the first pass then set the bitrate between 2k-3k, only i can't find how to do that exactly. I know that perhaps im compressing in a way too big bitrate. And then there is kbps, what the heck dose that mean? Ive been comparing different WoW movies for, resolution, bitrate and codec to figure out how i can make a aceptable movie. Also encoding a 30 min movie takes like 8-10 hours for me(whit first and second pass). Its a frustrating topic for me, i realy dont do good whit all that tecknical stuff. |

kbps = kilobit per second = bitrate
In the XviD config you first set it to "Twopass - 1st pass", then you save it. Afterwards change it to "Twopass - 2nd pass" and type in "target bitrate" as 2000 or 3000. EDIT: Yeah the rendering takes time, do it while you sleep or something |
