You can record things using a background of a certain color (usually red, blue or green) and then filter out that color in the video editing program (premiere or vegas). The process is called colorscreening and a howto guide for vegas can be found here: http://www.mmorpgforum.net/showthread.php?t=15

I don't think that works out for me with just one npc at the time
does anyone have any experience with any adobe program that allow your to edit a movie, with layers, backgrounds and stuff (not premiere pro) like here where you can paint, remove and insert objects. |

Hrm, Sort of hard to understand your argument with Thiras' suggestion, as your sentence is a bit broken there.
But, if you are worried that those instructions only allow you to insert one NPC, this isn't true. If you look at many of the movies on WCM.com most I'd bet use the chroma keying(or colorscreening) effect that Thiras mentioned. The basics of it are that when the color being screened is cut out, you are left with a working animated model in your movie that you can move and position in the shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viw9PUXRA8g - this vid on youtube can give you a very basic understanding of exactly how it works. It shows how you would get two NPC's on the screen at the same time, and the basic principle holds true for as many as you can cram on screen at once. If that wasn't your argument, lol, then sorry. |

Yep Thiras is right. You record it with a pure green or pure blue screen and chorma key that color away by using the chroma keyer ofc Then place a background(picture or other video) in a new layer under your modelviewer recording. You can do that in vegas np. Never really used premiere but I'm sure you can do it in there too and you can do it in adobe after effects too but this one is harder to master though I saw a video not to long ago on how to do this in sony vegas. I'll see if I can find it back and post the link here.
Ow found it already http://www.stage6.com/user/Nikogrel/...W-Model-Viewer Hope this helps you out Last edited by vegito254 : 12-28-2007 at 07:49 AM. Reason: inserted link |
