Movie file size per second limits?
Hello, I am a raider and movie maker in the US guild EXODUS. In the past, around sunwell time, we tried to upload a Kil'Jaeden(was 5th worldwide kill, second video on the site) video to this site and the video was NOT approved.
Reason being: File size per length was to large. Video size: 707mb Video Length: 13:17 mb/s: .89 Also note: around this time method and sk were also uploading videos with similar ratios, and getting approved. I was wondering if this limit still exists, and what it is. Because I see guilds like method for example, uploading a freya kill that is Video Size: 442mb Video Length: 5:00 mb/s: 1.48 This screams of special treatment, and it irritates me because I plan on uploading videos when new content comes out, and quite frankly I don't want to waste my time creating and rendering a 15 minute video to have it denied for a bogus reason. So could someone please clarify this "limit" to me. Last edited by Cika : 03-03-2009 at 09:24 PM. |

Give one of the admins a poke with a private message either on this forum of via the wcm website mail system. I know I had similar issues back when I first started out. If I think back it was a simple mistake by the person who reviewed my Void Reaver movie and mistakenly thought the compression was not enough.
Also I think allowances are sometimes made for first to publish content so long as it is of sufficient quality to merit the status. Last edited by Blueroze : 03-08-2009 at 06:42 AM. |

The current file-size limit is about 25mb/minute, on rare movies we can accept as much as 50mb/minute but never close to 1mb/sec.
