capturing good quality voice

Hi, I'm trying to shoot a comedy movie, and do something I have yet to try, voice acting. I figured out how to capture my own voice smoothly enough, but I was wondering how do I catch other people's voice, with good quality, that cannot record from my home?

Any tips I could get on this process would be appreciated, either here or email me at [email protected]. Thank you.

ps. Tried doing it over vent, that sounded like total garbage though...

Mind if I ask how you accomplished this? What program do you use to record / edit / mix your voice?

I just use the vegas record feature, and face away from the mic to avoid any nasty feedback.
