Frapsing Problems

after my third pvpmovie i went off and bought new parts for my computer, after that my fraps started to act weird.. well in general my fps went up alot

im usually having +100 fps everywhere now except raids maybe, but

when i start recording with fraps with following settings:

1650x1080(halfsize, 840x524), record sound, hide cursor, 60 fps

at the start it will be 60 fps, but after around 3-4 seconds it will drop down to 45 and rise up from there to 60 fps again in around a second, the same thing will happen over and over again.. so im having 60 fps for 3-4 seconds but then its going down and and back to 60. When it goes to down to 45, i can hear extra sound from my HDD.

Any suggestions what i should try?

I have tried following:

-Diffirent settings in fraps (didn't work)
-Defragmenter on my HDD (didnt help)
-Removing my fullest HDD (didnt help)
-Playing with vsync/without (didn't help)
-Playing with bad quality (didnt' help)

Ohh and one thing i forgot to mention, my computer specs:

Intel Q6600 (new part)
MSI P35 Platinum Compo (new part)
4 Gig of 800hz memory (new)
Geforce 8800GTS 512 (old part)
brand new 500gb HDD (new)
couple of older HDD's

well thats about it..

Im really getting annoyed by this, any help would be appriciated

It's normal, Fraps does that to me too. If you haven't already, turn off the antialiasing settings from your graphic card's menus. It really improves the framerate.

Lol i got the same problem. Man i got 4 gb of ram, and 2x gtx8800 sli alpha dog version. I can play on a framrate of 400+ if i put it on lower settings. Playing on 75 if i max everything since its capping on 75. I NEVER ever drop below 75. Not even during AoE massive fights in TK or whatever. No now i run fraps. 30 fps -.-

I have never had that problem but just do like soosisti says and either disable AA (if possible) or turn it to the lowest settings and that should help.
