Need some help

I've toyed with making movies before. I have my final movie but I'm stuck. I don't have an intro. I tried to work with After Effects but I was lost. If anyone could point to a program that's easier to use or a step by step procedure for this kind of thing it would be much appreciated.

Sony Vegas is maybe a little harder to use, but the two smaller versions (there is 3) of the program, got "show me how tutorials".

Overall i think sony beats adobe

Try the trial, and yay no watermark ^^ http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/...ct.asp?pid=447

You are just a big Sony Vegas fanboy aren't you DlouBent :p Do respect the other programs though Anyway Sony Vegas is a great program and I can't live without it anymore You can make nice intro's in Vegas using lot of effects. However in After Effects you can do so much more. This is indeed hard to learn and like with everything else, no pain no gain
Here are some forum links to some nice After Effects tutorials. Might help.

I thought I had another but can't seem to find it atm. I'll edit my post when I find it

Good luck with your movie!

check

http://videocopilot.net/tutorials.html
http://www.creativecow.net/articles/aftereffects.html

for example.. should be enough after effects tutorials for now

oh and comparing sony vegas to adobe after effects makes no sense.

it's sony vegas vs. adobe premiere pro vs. apple final cut vs. avid etc.
and adobe after effects vs. autodesk combustion vs. eyeon fusion etc.

two pair of shoes.

Bunch of truth.

How well is premiere integrated with AE btw?

I just have the feeling that you have to switch between the two all the time when making a movie, how does that work?

depends on whether you own adobe production studio or not. if you do, you can switch between those two apps without pre-rendering in AE.

Meaning, I add say, fancy glow effect #1 in ae to my project, then open the project in premiere and the glow will be shown?

I think I may just have to give that a shot :>

should be the case, I don't know, because I have to pre-render :/

best part of adobe is that every program is used the same way.. if you are used to photoshop you won't have problems to start with after effects.

combustion is just a big mess to me and fusion is years ahead of everything you will ever need.. I mean who needs full maya support for 3d modelling post production (fun facts: one license of fusion is about $5000 ^^)

so I guess adobe wins for the sake of doing fancy wow movies.

5000$?

I thought PS and vegas were expensive... but thats just silly. Taking 5k for a program is just asking for people to pirate the blue hell out of it.
