Try upgrading your codecs: www.free-codecs.com and/or get this player: www.free-codecs.com

I downloaded some "codex" even though I dont know what that is from the link...the second link you provided. So now I have some program hidden on my computer somewhere and when the file goes to play in media player, its still only plays audio with some standrd video background

Yeah you don't have the right codec to play the movie if you just get sound..

Im a n00b

Hi and thank you. VLC media player works great. Although this is a given to 99% of you out there. Ill tell you exactly what I did. (god im such a noob)

I downloaded the vlc media player. When I download movies from this site i save them in the whatever folder. I X out the window that pops out (windows media player) and right click the file....open with....VLC media player. Works just fine. Thank you for not laughing yet. hehehe

I prefer the Divx player over the VLC. But now my Divx is bugged and won't play audio... It's annoying.
