Curious how these transition[s] were created

Below is a video that contains 2 different transition clips. The first is like a right or left swoosh pan [ it goes by very fast leaving a cloud like trail] the second is a white light burst forming into another clip.
How is this created?
I am using APP
-note - Alot of these transitions begin around the 2:50 mark

You could either do it with a directional sideways blur, and then just move the frame. Or another option is that they did it in After Effects and put on motion blur. I'm sure there are other ways of doing it to though.
