This weekend many of our US visitors experienced a bug with a ad stuck in a loop which prevented viewing of movies. I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience this undoubtedly caused for some of you. We take issues like this very seriously. To prevent this from happening ever again we decided to pull the particular ad off the site and any other ad of the similar type.  

We then took step back and took a healthy look the overall ad placement on the site. Some of the more intrusive ads, like the full screen clickable background ads, has also been removed pending further investigation.

 

As you all know ads are necessary to keep a high bandwidth site like WCM up and running but with that said we will, during the coming weeks, do a complete overhaul of the ads to make sure the overall site experience remains enjoyable. In the long run I hope this whole debacle will turn into something positive as it really put the spotlight on a very important issue.
