Help please: Compressing video *read*
Yeah, so i finished recording yesterday, and last night i went to sleep with my computer on letting it render overnight, it took about 4-5 hours to complete. When i woke up this morning it was done, i checked the file size: 137 MB. Now, i want to put a copy on google video, as well here on WCM with a mirror to Stage 6. I have uploaded video's previously and successfully, but nothing ever this large in size. I try using the Converter for DivX, no luck, it doesnt even get passed 0% analyzing. The google video desktop ^loader is a different story, wont even let me login... The file is currently saved as a wmv. and the reason for such a large size is probably because i used a frame of 99 with fraps to improve my performance, only thing is now, its too big to upload anywhere, please help, thanks in advance

I dont know why the divx converter wouldnt work (ive never tried it) and the google video uploader not letting you log in has nothing to do with the size of your video.
137 mb isnt much, unless its a very short movie. |

Oh, really? Ok, wellt hanks for clearing that up, thought it may have been size related, well the converter has just started working... but at an extremely slow pace, its been about an hour with 10% done, guess ill just leave it on today while im at work heh. Well anyway, yeah i know the google issue has nothing to do with size,t hats why i said it was another story, but if anyone else had this problem and found a solution please share, as id like to put it up there as well, thanks
Oh btw the video is 17 minutes. |

137 MB for 17 minutes is absolutely ok, imho. I did put up "bigger" movies, and never had a problem with uploading it wherever I wanted to. It was just a matter of time.
Give it another try - 17 minutes sounds interesting to me. No, I don't know why, but it does Regards Dwârv
