What resoltion should at render at for widescreen?

I use 1680x1050 while playing the game and record fraps at 30fps full size. I figure if I render it at 1680x1050 the file will be way to big but I don't want it to look squished if I render it at like 800x600.

I think 960*600 ~ 1280*800 is ok,(16:10 , the same as your source's aspect ratio.)with 3mbps h264 or xvid encoding.

1680x1050 is ok, use h264 and 3-4 mbit
