How to make a machinima?

I want to make a machinima, i have ideas for a script which i recently started writing, but i have no idea how to make it, can someone give my some advice, some tips as to how i can go about making it?

Hey there. Glad to see you are wanting to make a movie. There are lots of ways to make a movie. What is most important is how you want to present your movie as a whole. While you could actually go in game to get footage that way (Which is perfectly fine) or use something like the WoW model viewer to shoot your scenes. It really depends on what kind of shots you want to get (Specially for those impossible in game shots) Make sure you have decent video editing software such as Sony Vegas to edit your video on. Also it's a good idea to have software that you can 1. either screencap or 2. directly record video. Fraps is a good way to do this, and there are other programs out there that allow you to record a certain region or screen. (I use xsplit for local region recordings)

So all in all, get your script down, and do some storyboarding, that will better help you understand what sort of video/shots you are looking for in your movie. That way you can either get them in game, or through model viewer and adjust accordingly. Hope that helps a bit.
