Require help with playback speed.

Recently made my first video using Fraps and Sony Vegas Pro 9. I've read through all my issues with fraps and its not a recording question.

The issue i have is that when i play back my videos they seem to be playing at 3x the speed. While this is useful for Naxxramas videos whereby i can fit one whole wing into a short sharp video - when it comes to future single boss kills in ulduar im going to end up with a 1-5minute server first kill vid which isnt going to be fun :/.

Now is there anything i can do to change the playback rate in either fraps or vegas, and in doing so will it make my video choppy and laggy? (if so then i will evidently have to change some settings to optimize my fraps work)
