Camtasia Studio 4 Recording

Hey dudes,

i have some big problems...
After Fraps lagging as hell in spite of 2Gb RAM and 3,6GHZ CPU and lowest level of details.. i tried Camtasia Studio

Its a dam nnice programm, but i have one big problem with it:

when i record, my ingame FPS dont change, they remain at nice 50fps, but the recorded fps are low.. very low.. around 5fps:>

i tried nearly everything to solve this, but nothing worked.

if anyone can help me i would be very happy

technical information:

Memory: 2048MB RAM
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU @ ~1,8GHZ each
Card name: Radeon X1650 Series
Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (70Hz)
Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional (5.0, Build 2195) Service Pack 4

plz help me i upgraded my pc just to be able to capture some vids and now it doesnt work xD

MfG
Tory

P.s.: ill upload an example as fast as possible:>

Edit:
http://files.filefront.com/testrm/;8.../fileinfo.html

here is an example. its recorded with camtasia recorder. the normal quality is a ton better but i wanted to create a short testvideo, not a legendary preview xD

You can see my FPS on the bottom to the right, where the panel shows it in green (45-60 fps)

Would you mind making a small guide on how to start recording with this program? I went in and started playing with the settings and I kept getting an error that it was unable to write the avi file.

Edit: I took a look at your video, it is indeed what you say it is. I have a solution but I have to have that guide on how to begin recording to test it to make sure it works.

ok, here is a starter guide .. hope it helps xD

- start "Camtasia Recorder" (the red bubble)

- recordsetting "fullscreen"

- no audio

- "tools" in the mainbar => "Options" => "Recording" => "save as camrec" (better quality)
=> "Video" => "Manuell"
=> Select how much frames you need
=> Record-Mode "normal Screenrecord"
Codec: "TechSmith Screen Capture Codec"

select the folders where the temporal datas and the final video should be saved and yeah.. then type "F9" or "record" and thats it

if u need more help, let me know it, ill try to translate as much as possible (im running this prog @ german)

MfG
Tory

I could never get it to record the game footage because it kept knocking me out of the game and never let me back in.

I have to say this program isn't very compatible. I try to record and my entire screen blacks out.

Edit: I think that it was the acceleration that did that.
