Fraps Black Screen O Death
Hello,
I am new to the whole Machinima scene - but am gathering all the info on fraps, vegas, model viewer and am getting excited - and judging by the posts I see on this forum - this is the best place to find out everything I need =) Anyway, I ran into a snag with fraps the other day - I recorded about 5 mins of me in a BG to play around with. Well I accessed the video file just fine. However, when I played the file I just had sound and a black screen (kind of when you forget to plug in your video cable into your tv and you just get sound.) Anyhelp? thanks in advance Last edited by Lustmore : 11-20-2007 at 05:40 PM. Reason: I am awesome at English.... |

Twice, the two times I have tried it. I'm going to try reinstalling it tonight - hopefully I will get lucky. Perhaps it's because I play WoW in "windows-mode" - hopefully I get lucky

it could be the shear size of the file, your player cant handling it
are you frapsing on full size? |

So your saying that anything your Frapsing, when played back in realplayer comes back as a black screen and a loud reverb noise?
sounds to me like driver incompatability. Make sure you install all the latest divx video drivers (as they work best and come highly recommended) and your fraps codecs are installed correctly. They would appear on any codec listing that any program could bring up. Try re-installing fraps (this reinstalls the codecs)
